AHRI National Awards 2009

The Next Step was proud to sponsor the 2009 Dave Ulrich HR Leader of the Year

We congratulate Rhonda Brighton, Luxottica's Senior Vice President - Human Resources and Communication, Asia Pacific & Africa, for winning this award.

The AHRI HR Leadership Awards recognise leading HR practitioners whose contribution to the achievement of business outcomes through HR practices is worthy of recognition.

Applicants were required to demonstrate they meet or exceed the following criteria:

Achievement: The applicant has been recognised for excellence in an academic or career capacity
Impact: The applicant has made a tangible contribution to the organisation
Progression: The applicant's career demonstrates an upwards trajectory beyond the expected
Leadership: The applicant has demonstrated a capacity for leadership
Commitment: The applicant has demonstrated a passion for HR through service to the profession
Innovation: the applicant is ahead of the field in ideas and/or practices
Credible activism: the applicant demonstrates personal credibility but also a point of view about the business
Strategic architect: the applicant demonstrates an understanding of strategy and how HR will deliver strategy.

In 2008 The Next Step was proud to sponsor the AHRI National Awards for People Manager of the Year. The Award Night took place on the 22 October 2008. We congratulate the award winners:

This Award recognises managers from any background, function or level who can demonstrate excellence in peole management practices that have made an outstanding contribution to the performance of the organisation.
