Our Environmental Management Commitment

This Environmental Policy Statement covers the activities, products and services of The Next Step's office-based operations throughout Australia.

The Next Step is committed to environmental improvement and preventing pollution. Our aim is to continually improve our business performance and to conduct our operations in an environmentally responsible manner, clearly reflecting a commitment to fostering the sustainable use of the earth's resources.


The Next Step will:

• Comply with applicable environmental legislation and standards, as well as other environmental initiatives to which we subscribe;

• Communicate this policy to all staff, other stakeholders, and the wider community;

• Support and implement processes aimed at preventing pollution by reusing, repairing and recycling resources;

• Minimise negative impacts we may have on the environment, through responsible and efficient use of natural resources;

• Give purchase preference, where feasible, to reusable, recycled and environmentally-friendly products;

• Incorporate environmental better practice into all technological solutions, and the fit-out and operation of our office accommodations;

• Foster the initiation and ownership of environmental activities by all our staff, thereby inspiring a strong environmentally aware business culture;

• Evaluate and revise environmental management plans annually, to assess whether desired outcomes are being achieved against specific objectives;
