About the Role
As the Associate Director, Employee Relations & Policy, you will be responsible for delivering technical ER and policy expertise, designing frameworks and toolkits that enable consistency and capability across the organisation. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders, P&C colleagues, and external advisors on a range of ER matters, policy reviews, and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist employee relations and policy advice to leaders and P&C teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Developing and maintaining ER processes, toolkits, templates, and governance frameworks
- Leading and supporting high impact change projects related to employment terms, conditions, and policy uplift
- Coaching leaders on people management, ER practices, and legislative interpretation
- Partnering with external legal counsel on complex ER matters and translating advice into practical solutions for the business
- Contributing to broader P&C strategic initiatives and cultural programs
You will bring:
- Deep expertise in employee relations, legislative interpretation, and contemporary HR policy design
- Strong experience working across multiple jurisdictions and advising on complex ER matters
- Proven ability to design and implement ER frameworks, policies, and change initiatives
- High level influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and act as a true trusted advisor
- Excellent project management capabilities and the ability to lead virtual, cross-functional teams
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in HR and/or Employment Law
- Experience in Financial Services will be highly regarded.
