An opportunity has arisen with a highly respected financial services organisation. They are seeking an experienced Employee Relations specialist to play a key role in uplifting ER capability, reducing organisational risk, and steering high impact people initiatives across a complex, global footprint.
This newly created contract role sits within a collaborative and high performing People & Culture team and offers the chance to influence enterprise wide change in a mature, fast paced environment.

About the Role
As the Associate Director, Employee Relations & Policy, you will be responsible for delivering technical ER and policy expertise, designing frameworks and toolkits that enable consistency and capability across the organisation. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders, P&C colleagues, and external advisors on a range of ER matters, policy reviews, and strategic projects.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing specialist employee relations and policy advice to leaders and P&C teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • Developing and maintaining ER processes, toolkits, templates, and governance frameworks
  • Leading and supporting high impact change projects related to employment terms, conditions, and policy uplift
  • Coaching leaders on people management, ER practices, and legislative interpretation
  • Partnering with external legal counsel on complex ER matters and translating advice into practical solutions for the business
  • Contributing to broader P&C strategic initiatives and cultural programs
About You
You will bring:
  • Deep expertise in employee relations, legislative interpretation, and contemporary HR policy design
  • Strong experience working across multiple jurisdictions and advising on complex ER matters
  • Proven ability to design and implement ER frameworks, policies, and change initiatives
  • High level influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and act as a true trusted advisor
  • Excellent project management capabilities and the ability to lead virtual, cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications in HR and/or Employment Law
  • Experience in Financial Services will be highly regarded.
