Working as part of a collaborative People & Culture team, you'll partner with leaders to deliver practical, compliant and commercially focused employee relations advice while managing a varied caseload across workplace investigations, performance management and misconduct matters.
About the Role
Reporting to the Employment Relations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of employee relations matters, providing practical advice to leaders and supporting consistent workplace outcomes aligned with legislation, organisational policies and industrial instruments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end employee relations cases including performance management, misconduct, disciplinary matters and grievances.
- Conducting workplace investigations and preparing investigation findings and recommendations.
- Providing timely advice to leaders on employment legislation, policies, Enterprise Agreements and workplace procedures.
- Preparing correspondence, outcome letters and case documentation.
- Supporting the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements and employment conditions.
- Assisting with Fair Work Commission conciliations and employment relations matters where required.
- Maintaining accurate case records and contributing to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Escalating complex or high-risk matters while working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and business leaders.
About You
You are an experienced Employee Relations or Human Resources professional who enjoys
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations cases within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing associated documentation.
- Sound understanding of performance management, misconduct, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality case documentation and correspondence.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
- A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
