About the Role
Reporting to the COO, you will lead a small, high-potential People & Culture team and continue the shift from a reactive, operational model to a proactive, commercially aligned function. Your remit will be broad and influential, spanning strategy, workforce planning, HR technology, culture and engagement, industrial relations and compliance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing the People & Culture strategy aligned to business objectives
- Advising on organisational design, succession planning and capability uplift
- Leading annual workforce planning and talent review processes
- Owning the HR technology roadmap, including HRIS, payroll integration and LMS
- Overseeing leadership capability programs and internal development pathways
- Providing senior-level advice on IR strategy, awards and compliance
- Managing complex employee relations matters, investigations and Fair Work interactions
You are a seasoned, hands-on People & Culture leader with experience in large, complex, operational or blue-collar environments (e.g. automotive, manufacturing, logistics or trades). Automotive experience will be highly regarded.
You are comfortable leading and developing a small HR team while partnering closely with operational leaders who rely heavily on practical, commercially sound advice. You will have a proven track record of building or scaling HR functions, embedding systems, uplifting leadership capability and successfully leading change.
Critically, you are equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and rolling up your sleeves when required, able to move seamlessly between long-term planning and day-to-day coaching and problem-solving.
This role is based in South West Sydney and requires a full-time onsite presence, with flexibility to work from other business locations during the week.
An attractive salary package is on offer, including a fully serviced vehicle
