About Them
Our client is a large-scale franchise business with a significant footprint across Australia and internationally. While the Australian network spans over 500 sites, this opportunity focuses on supporting a national corporate team of circa 70 employees. The business retains its entrepreneurial spirit — the founders remain visible and influential — bringing pace, innovation, and a commercial mindset. The company is on a journey to strengthen alignment across teams and foster a collaborative, connected culture.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director for Australia and sitting on the senior leadership team, this is a key appointment at a time of positive change. The role leads a small team (including a strong Senior HR Business Partner and an offshore resource) and will have the scope to shape the People function for the future.
While the franchise network manages day-to-day HR locally, this role focuses on supporting the corporate team and senior leaders (approx. 70 people), driving cultural alignment, breaking down silos, and lifting engagement. It offers the chance to blend strategic leadership with hands-on work — influencing at the highest levels while keeping a pragmatic, human-centered approach.
About You
We are seeking a commercially-minded, emotionally intelligent HR leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
You will bring:
- Strong generalist HR capability, with at least 6+ years in senior leadership and business partnering roles.
- A collaborative, coaching style that builds trust and influence across all levels.
- Experience leading teams and embedding a positive, high-performing culture.
- The ability to think strategically, act commercially, and deliver practical outcomes without unnecessary complexity.
- Confidence to partner closely with senior leaders and navigate change with empathy and impact.
Franchise experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
Salary package on offer is up to $200,000 base + super. Hybrid and flexible working are embraced. Ideally 3 - 4 days in the office, and 1-2 days wfh.
The company culture is one that values innovation, pragmatism and where HR is seen as a critical enabler of business success. You’ll be part of a capable, supportive executive team that is committed to creating a more connected and collaborative environment. The role offers flexibility, the opportunity to shape the future of the People function, and a culture that combines entrepreneurial energy with genuine care for its people.
