This organisation is a major player in Australia’s rail freight industry and has a great opportunity to work with the CPO, partner with business leaders and lead a multi-disciplinary team to evolve the function and drive a performance driven culture.
As the 2IC to the Chief People Officer you will be responsible for driving workforce capability, navigating complex industrial matters and building a high-performance culture.  You will also provide coaching, support and mentoring to a large team of ER & IR, HR Business Partners and Training & Development professionals.  Along with leading this team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering strategic HR outcomes aligned with business goals
  • Shaping and managing complex industrial relations matters beyond EBAs
  • Overseeing RTO compliance, onboarding, and capability-building initiatives
  • Coaching leaders and driving business-aligned people solutions
Tertiary qualified, you are a proven senior HR leader who has experience gained from large, dispersed, operational asset intensive environments.  You have deep industrial relations expertise with strong stakeholder management and creative problem-solving skills, and you are known for being a strong leader. Your training/RTO experience is desirable.
