Reporting to the Chief People Officer and collaborating with a wide stakeholder group including P&C, Finance & Technology you will lead this highly technical team spanning payroll, workforce services, HR systems, people services, HR reporting and remuneration.  You will be accountable for driving continuous improvement and modernising people systems, workforce administration and service delivery to enhance employee experience, strengthen pay and compliance integrity and support organisational performance and workforce capability.  Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop & lead the strategy for People Operations in a complex and regulated environment.
  • In collaboration with P&C, Technology & Finance develop and evolve the ABC’s HR technology landscape within a complex multi-system environment.
  • Design & optimise the People Operations delivery model, including self-service capability and process automation.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations to ensure and accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing and reporting.
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across payroll and workforce compliance.
  • Maintain a strong reporting cadence across the organisation.
  • Review and improve remuneration processes and governance
Tertiary qualified you are a driven, proactive with proven senior leadership experience delivering HR operations and leading change in a large, complex unionised environment.  You will be comfortable navigating legacy systems while leading transformation initiatives, and able to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required. Your leadership style will be collaborative, resilient and grounded, with the ability to bring cohesion to large technical teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
