About the Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing People & Culture team on a 3–6 month contract, supporting a diverse, remote hospitality workforce. You’ll work from the Brisbane head office, with occasional site travel as needed, to provide consistent and pragmatic HR advice and manage a broad range of people matters.
About the Role
You’ll be supporting a workforce based on regional FIFO sites where teams deliver large-scale catering, housekeeping, and facilities services. The environment is fast-paced, highly regulated, and people-driven with a wide range of cases for resolution
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end casework for a wide range of employee relations matters
- Provide advice on performance management, conduct, complaints, grievances, and policy interpretation
- Coach frontline leaders to manage issues early and effectively
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Partner with operations teams to support positive workforce outcomes and retention
- Contribute to P&C initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Proven experience in HR advisory roles, with a strong focus on case management and ER
- Resilient and confident communicator — able to engage with leaders and employees across all levels
- A pragmatic, hands-on style and the ability to navigate complex, people-focused environments
- Experience working with hospitality, FIFO, or remote/regional workforces highly regarded
- Knowledge of food safety compliance and HSE standards in hospitality or related sectors is a plus
