About the Role

Reporting to the HR Business Manager, the Human Resources Advisor will provide generalist HR support across a diverse operational workforce. This role partners closely with leaders to deliver practical advice across the employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with leaders to provide day-to-day HR advice and coaching.
  • Supporting employee relations matters including performance management, misconduct, grievances and workplace investigations.
  • Providing guidance on employment legislation, company policies, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, probation and offboarding activities.
  • Assisting with workforce planning, organisational change and restructuring initiatives.
  • Contributing to HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships across operational sites through regular site engagement.
  • Supporting workforce reporting, compliance and people-related analytics.
This role offers genuine variety and the opportunity to develop broad generalist capability while working alongside an experienced HR Business Partner in a complex operational environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring previous experience in a generalist Human Resources position and enjoy partnering with leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused people solutions.

You will ideally possess:
  • Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources Advisor or similar generalist role.
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and investigations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across operational environments with preference for agriculture or food manufacturing
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
Experience working within manufacturing, food production, agribusiness or other operational environments will be highly regarded, along with exposure to Enterprise Agreements and unionised workforces.
