The Opportunity
 
With a predominantly blue-collar workforce and a reputation built on delivering quality outcomes in challenging operational environments, the business is continuing to grow and is looking for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the operation and supporting leaders to deliver practical people solutions.

This is a broad generalist role where you'll have the opportunity to build trusted relationships, provide day-to-day HR advice and support the delivery of key people initiatives, while working within a collaborative and down-to-earth team.

The Role

Reporting into the HR Manager, you'll support leaders across the full employee lifecycle while providing practical HR advice in a fast-paced operational environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • End-to-end recruitment across operational and corporate roles
  • Preparing employment contracts and contract variations
  • Coordinating employee mobilisation and onboarding
  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR advice and employee enquiries
  • Supporting performance review cycles and performance management processes
  • Assisting with the rollout of people initiatives and projects
  • Drafting HR documentation, policies and procedures
  • General HR administration and employee lifecycle support
With typically only a small number of active vacancies at any one time, this role offers an excellent balance of recruitment, advisory and project work.
 
About You
We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys supporting leaders, building relationships and providing practical, commercially focused advice.

You'll bring:
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisory role
  • Experience recruiting for operational and/or blue-collar workforces
  • Confidence preparing employment documentation and providing day-to-day HR advice
  • Exposure to performance management and employee relations processes
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine desire to support leaders and employees
Experience within mining, civil construction, manufacturing, logistics, transport or other heavy industry environments will be highly regarded.
