HR Business Partner

Work Type:

Location:

Sydney - NSW

  • Fast-paced environment with scope to build and influence
  • Hands-on role with significant organisational growth
  • Onsite full time | Sydney CBD location
Join a fast-growing construction organisation at a pivotal stage of its evolution. As the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping people practices, building capability, and driving a high-performance culture across a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of People, you will manage the full employee lifecycle across both blue- and white-collar employee groups. This is a hands-on, generalist role with real impact—ideal for someone who thrives in environments where foundations need strengthening and there is genuine scope to influence, improve, and build.
You will work closely with leaders on day-to-day people matters, culture initiatives, workforce growth, and change activity, while ensuring a pragmatic, commercially minded HR approach. With the organisation scaling rapidly and evolving its systems, you will also support the transition from SuccessFactors to a new HRIS.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end ownership of the employee lifecycle
  • Partnering with leaders and employees to support culture, performance, development, and engagement
  • Providing advice across generalist HR matters with practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Supporting L&D activities to uplift capability
  • Managing HR processes, documentation, onboarding, and compliance
  • Contributing to broader people initiatives as the organisation continues to scale
  • Ensuring high-quality HR operations in a fast-paced, on-the-ground environment

About You
  • Strong HR generalist experience, ideally within construction, blue-collar, or similar operational sectors
  • Commercially adept, fast-paced, and comfortable partnering across all levels
  • Able to step up in the absence of the Head of People and take full ownership when needed
  • Warm, people-focused, and proactive in building relationships
  • Technically proficient, ideally with SuccessFactors experience (and confident with new systems)
  • Comfortable working in an evolving, start-up style environment where structure is still being built
  • Enjoys variety, problem-solving, and navigating a high volume of people activity
  • Must be available to work onsite five days per week

Why Join?
  • Contribute to a growing organisation with significant expansion underway
  • Influence how people practices evolve during a period of transformation
  • Collaborative team culture with leaders who value partnership, support, and transparency
  • Long-term opportunity for international exposure as the organisation expands globally

If you are a capable, energetic HR professional who enjoys building, solving, and driving meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
