About the Role

An exciting and rare opportunity for a permanent HR Business Partner exists to join a close-knit HR team who unwaveringly supports each other and is truly committed to Young Guns' strong values and clear mission as a business. 

Reporting to a highly supportive Head of HR, you will be providing hands-on support across both operational and strategic HR activities, supporting in overseeing the People Operations team.

Acting as a trusted partner to leaders, this role helps bridge day-to-day HR delivery with broader people initiatives, supports compliance requirements, contributes to people projects, and collaborates across regions to strengthen HR practices and support ongoing organisational growth. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Lead and develop 1-2 direct reports 
  • ER/IR/Risk & Compliance: Multiple Award interpretation and guidance across regions, oversee Fair Work claims, audits, and compliance reviews, guiding leaders on performance management, people matters, complex ER/IR matters support/management 
  • Support the Head of HR with the People Strategy, succession planning initiatives, capability development initiatives, cultural engagement and enhancement initiatives
  • Overseeing the Reward and Recognition program and remuneration reviews. 
About You

It is essential that you possess HR Business Partnering experience and have the ability to coach and lead in a fast-paced business, pivoting when needed.

Young Guns are looking for a natural born leader, someone who oozes passion, optimism, a can-do attitude, with the ability to guide and mentor in a supportive way fostering empathy underpinned by best practice HR - one size doesn't fit all, it's about tailoring your approach through emotional intelligence - agility is key. 

It is essential that you possess blue collar industry experience, familiar with working with a frontline operational workforce that have a strong compliance and safety component. Strong ER/IR and risk and compliance knowledge is crucial.
