About them
Our client operates within the transport sector and supports a large, operational workforce across Sydney. They are fast paced, hands on, and value HR partners who can build strong relationships and provide practical support on the ground.

About the role
This is a three month contract opportunity supporting the business while a permanent hire is made. Sitting at the HR Advisor level, you will play a key role in managing day to day employee relations matters and partnering closely with leaders.
Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting ER matters including attendance, misconduct and investigations
  • Advising managers on policy, process and best practice
  • Assisting with EBA and award interpretation
  • Managing employee queries and providing practical HR support
  • Supporting general HR administration as required
This role will be based in the Pyrmont office, with a strong in person presence.

About you
You are a confident HR Advisor with solid experience in employee relations within a blue collar or operational environment. You are comfortable working in a fast paced setting and enjoy being a hands on support to the business.
You will bring:
  • Three to five years HR experience
  • Strong ER capability, particularly around investigations and misconduct
  • Experience working with EBAs and awards
  • A practical, solutions focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders
