About them

This rapidly growing FMCG business has a strong presence across retail and hospitality and is scaling quickly. They are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner who can operate autonomously, bring structure, and partner confidently with senior leadership. The role is onsite in the CBD, working closely with the CEO and leadership team in a dynamic and evolving environment.

About the role
This is a hands on HR role suited to someone who enjoys being in the detail while also building scalable foundations. You’ll play a key role in embedding people processes, supporting leaders, and guiding the business through its next stage of growth.
Key responsibilities include
  • Acting as a trusted HR Business Partner to senior leaders
  • End to end employee lifecycle management
  • Implementing policies and procedures already developed
  • Recruitment support for retail and operational roles
  • Performance management and employee relations
  • Onboarding, offboarding and capability development
  • Bringing order and structure in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
The role is part time, three days per week, working onsite in the CBD. Initially offered as a contract with view to permanent.

About you
  • Proven experience in a startup or fast scaling environment
  • Strong generalist HR background with a hands on mindset
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and making decisions
  • Confident working closely with senior leaders and pushing back when required
  • Happy working in the weeds and building structure from the ground up
  • FMCG, retail or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Australian permanent resident or citizen
