Our client is a global professional services firm, operating in over 80 countries. The business is currently undergoing a period of transformation, including leadership change and the future rollout of a new global operating model, creating an opportunity to uplift capability across the People function.
About the Role
This Senior HR Contractor role will provide hands-on, commercially focused HR leadership during a critical transition period. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a key role in stabilising and strengthening the HR function, with a strong emphasis on execution, change leadership and capability uplift.
This is an initial 6-month contract based in Central Sydney with a hybrid working model, supporting the Australia and New Zealand business (approx. 3000 FTEs).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer on prioritisation, execution and delivery
- Leading and supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce transitions
- Uplifting capability across HR Business Partners, particularly in execution, accountability and commercial decision making
- Supporting readiness for the implementation of a new global operating model, including process clarity and training
- Coaching HR leaders to evolve from transactional support to true business partnership
- Delivering employee experience initiatives with a practical, outcomes-focused approach
- Navigating complex matrix structures and influencing senior stakeholders across the business
- Ensuring continuity and quality of HR delivery during a period of leadership coverage
You are an experienced senior HR leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is comfortable stepping into ambiguity to drive outcomes. You bring a pragmatic, hands-on approach and are motivated by leaving teams and functions stronger than you found them.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive HR leadership experience within complex, commercial organisations
- Experience in professional services, property, financial services or similarly sales-driven environments
- A strong track record of leading organisational change, restructures and workforce transitions
- High levels of commercial acumen, balancing people outcomes with business performance
- Gravitas and emotional intelligence to influence senior stakeholders
- A hands-on, delivery-focused approach with a bias for execution and closure
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role at a pivotal time of transformation. You will work closely with an aligned and forward-thinking leadership team, playing a critical role in elevating HR capability, strengthening execution and shaping readiness for future organisational change.
