About the Organisation

Providing accommodation, catering, and support services for people working in remote locations in industries like mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects, this international organisation provides services to ensure workers have a safe, comfortable place to live and rest while on rotation.

You'll lead a capable HR team, partner closely with operational leaders, and bring fresh thinking to People & Culture practices that can scale with the organisation. With operations spread across multiple sites, you'll balance a hybrid Brisbane-based rhythm (3 days in office, 2 days from home) with regular travel to engage with teams face-to-face.

About the Role

  • Lead and support the local People & Culture team to deliver against strategic and operational goals.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to embed effective HR solutions and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Take ownership of ER/IR case management including investigations, grievances, and performance management.
  • Provide expert guidance on the interpretation of industrial instruments and employment legislation.
  • Use data and metrics to identify workforce trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion cultural alignment, employee engagement, and leadership capability uplift across all levels.
About You
  • 8+ years' HR generalist experience within blue-collar, industrial, or complex environments, including at least 2 years leading a team.
  • Strong employee relations and industrial relations skills with the ability to resolve issues constructively.
  • Confidence in coaching, supporting, and influencing leaders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style - you lead by listening, encouraging, and bringing people along with you.
