About Them
Our client is a leading engineering organisation delivering complex infrastructure solutions across Australia and New Zealand. Their systems and projects help keep major transport networks operating efficiently and safely, supporting some of the region's most significant infrastructure assets.
With approximately 150 employees across Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand, the business combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative, multicultural workforce. Following a decade of sustained growth, they continue to expand into new technologies and project areas, creating exciting opportunities for both the business and its people.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for leading all aspects of HR operations and across Australia and New Zealand.
This position sits at the centre of a business navigating ongoing growth, project transitions and organisational change. You'll be responsible for maintaining strong HR foundations while partnering with leaders to drive workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leading a small team, you'll oversee the full employee lifecycle, including compliance, employee relations, talent management, onboarding, remuneration, payroll oversight and organisational development.
Success in this role will require a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll be comfortable moving between boardroom conversations and day-to-day operational matters, while providing practical advice and support to leaders across the business.
As several major projects continue to evolve, experience managing workforce transitions, change initiatives and sensitive stakeholder communications will be highly valued.

About You
This opportunity will suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is motivated by the opportunity to influence business outcomes through strong people leadership.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who offer:
  • Previous success leading HR in engineering, infrastructure, construction, technology or other project-based environments
  • Experience managing organisational change, workforce transitions and complex employee relations matters
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence leaders at all levels of the organisation
  • A resilient, adaptable and pragmatic approach, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needs
