We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role plays a key part in supporting managers to effectively lead their people, while driving People & Culture initiatives across a designated region.

As a trusted partner, you will provide coaching, guidance, and hands-on support in areas such as employee relations, performance management, organisational change, and engagement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to provide expert advice and support on people-related issues
  • Lead and support investigations into performance or conduct matters
  • Guide managers through fair, consistent performance management processes
  • Deliver initiatives to improve employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture
  • Support organisational change and coach leaders through periods of transition
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR policies, systems, and practices
  • Undertake project work to support the broader People & Culture function
About You
  • Proven experience in a P&C/HR Business Partner, Advisor or similar role
  • Strong ER/IR knowledge and experience handling complex case management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and resilient with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Desirable:
  • HR, IR or Business qualifications
  • Experience in a unionised or 24/7 operational workforce
  • Background in aged care, healthcare, disability, or community services
