About Them
Our client is a fast-growing engineering and technology organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand. They specialise in infrastructure projects, delivering large-scale, technology-led solutions that keep our cities moving.
With around 250 employees across Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand, the team is proudly multicultural and highly technical.
After a decade of steady expansion, the business continues to diversify its projects and sectors, with a healthy pipeline of work and new opportunities in emerging technologies.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key role leading all aspects of HR operations and strategy across the region. You’ll inherit solid foundations built by the predecessor and take responsibility for maintaining stability through a period of change, while also identifying and delivering improvement opportunities.
Leading a small team of three (in HR and Payroll), you’ll oversee end-to-end HR delivery - from compliance, onboarding, and payroll through to organisational change and workforce planning. With several major projects transitioning, your ability to manage restructure processes, workforce movements, and communication with care and confidence will be crucial.

About you
The role suits someone who enjoys both the strategic and hands-on elements of HR, partnering with leaders on org design, engagement, and development while keeping systems and processes running smoothly day to day. We will be looking out for those:
  • Experienced HR professionals with hands-on exposure to Australian employment law and the full HR lifecycle
  • Confident managing restructures, workforce transitions, and sensitive communication
  • Commercial, pragmatic, and collaborative, able to influence at all levels from project teams to senior leadership
  • Bonus if you have multilingual skills or experience working in a multicultural environment.
