About the business
This is a well-established, privately owned services organisation with around 200 team members, made up of a mix of direct employees and contractors. The business operates across multiple locations in NSW, with a strong leadership presence in Sydney.
The organisation has enjoyed a stable and successful 2025 and is entering its next phase with confidence and momentum. Culture is a genuine priority. The environment is high-energy, people-focused and relationship-driven, with a strong emphasis on retention, engagement and team stability.
While the business is commercially astute and performance-led, it values collaboration, wellbeing and doing things properly.

About the role
This is a senior HR Manager role, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and sitting on the executive leadership team.
It’s a hands-on, visible role that blends operational HR with strategic input. You’ll be the go-to person for leaders, supporting them across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance, consistency and strong people practices across a geographically dispersed workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as a trusted HR partner to leaders across multiple sites
  • Managing employee matters, including performance management, ER and compliance
  • Owning award interpretation and broader HR compliance
  • Developing and embedding practical HR policies and frameworks
  • Overseeing WHS
  • Supporting culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Working closely with the internal recruitment function on workforce planning and hiring
  • Bringing structure and clarity to people processes while remaining pragmatic and approachable
This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships, and balancing commercial realities with best-practice HR.

About you
You are a capable, grounded HR generalist who is comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working with a wide range of personalities.
You will bring:
  • Solid experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a fast-paced, sales-led or multi-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian HR framework and awards
  • Experience advising leaders on performance, ER matters and policy interpretation
  • The maturity to challenge when needed, while remaining practical and solutions-focused
  • A collaborative, approachable style — you’re not precious about tasks and are happy to pitch in
  • HR qualifications and full Australian working rights
