A small, values-driven not-for-profit is seeking an experienced HR/WHS professional to join them on a 3-month interim contract. This role will focus on strengthening employee wellbeing, improving grievance and complaints handling processes, and supporting leaders to build a safe and positive workplace culture.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement a staff wellbeing and engagement strategy
  • Review and update the Code of Conduct (draft already in place)
  • Streamline and modernise grievance and complaints handling procedures
  • Provide advice on WHS, employee relations, and psychosocial safety
  • Deliver training to leaders on people management practices, particularly around ER and wellbeing
About You
  • Strong background in HR and workplace relations with a lens on psycho-social matters
  • Experience working with NFPs or small organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement practical frameworks and policies
  • A calm, measured, and positive approach with strong relationship building and problem solving skills
  • Confidence in coaching and training leaders at all levels
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a short time frame. You’ll be instrumental in shaping people practices, improving consistency, and embedding a culture of safety and respect across the organisation.
