About the Role
Reporting to a supportive and dedicated Group Head of HR, this newly created role plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the organisation's industrial relations and people governance frameworks, including but not limited to:
- Leading EA negotiations - effectively managing union relationships
- Effectively managing the Fair Work process
- Effectively managing external legal partnerships
- Primary point of contact for all Industrial Relations matters - expertly advising across the business - industrial relations policies,
employment law, best practices, mitigating risks etc. - Develop and implement industrial relations strategies that promote positive employee engagement and a productive workplace through relevant research and analysis of industrial relations trends, legal developments, and industry benchmarks
You will be a highly experienced Industrial Relations Specialist, confident in overseeing and owning this area of the business with accuracy, confidence, and professionalism.
It is ESSENTIAL you come from a healthcare/disability/aged care background and possess a sound understanding of the SCHADS Award, Nurses Award, Health Professionals Award, in a unionised environment. Leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations is also a must.
You are required to hold a tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, Law, Human Resources, or a related field, and possess a strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and National Employment Standards.
You will not only be a strong leader, but you will also be a team player, able to collaborate across the entire business, advising correctly and effectively to ensure the organisation's employment practices are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with strategic business goals.
