About Them
This organisation is looking to lift and mature its approach to learning and organisational development. With a strong operational foundation already in place, the focus now is on building leadership capability, strengthening consistency, and embedding development in a way that is practical and sustainable.
The environment is straightforward and grounded. There’s a preference for clarity and solutions that work rather than looking good on paper. Leaders are engaged and open, and there is genuine appetite to improve how capability is built across the business.

About the Role
Reporting to the HR Director, this role takes ownership of learning and organisational development across the organisation. You will work closely with leaders to identify where capability needs to be lifted and design solutions that are simple, relevant, and effective. This is a role where you will be visible in the business - coaching, supporting, and partnering with leaders in a very hands-on way.
Alongside this, you will lead a range of core OD initiatives, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and consistently applied.

Key focus areas include:
  • Partnering with leaders to assess capability needs and deliver targeted development solutions
  • Designing and facilitating leadership and core skills programs
  • Leading engagement initiatives and supporting action planning
  • Supporting talent and succession activities with practical, easy-to-use approaches
  • Facilitating performance and calibration processes
  • Reviewing and refining learning content, including compliance training
  • Overseeing LMS content and ensuring it remains relevant and accessible
  • Coordinating diversity and inclusion activities across the annual calendar
  • Contributing to early-stage AI initiatives, particularly around governance and capability uplift
There is a strong opportunity to bring structure and consistency to existing frameworks, while keeping things simple and usable for the business.

About You
You are a Learning & OD professional who focuses on impact over theory. You bring a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable working directly with leaders to build capability in real time. You’re confident facilitating, coaching, and providing guidance, and you know how to adapt your style depending on the audience.

You’re someone who enjoys being present in the business, building relationships, and helping leaders navigate people challenges. You take ownership, follow things through, and are motivated by seeing improvements in capability and performance.

Your ability to influence, build trust, and deliver outcomes in a straightforward, no-nonsense way will set you up for success in this role.
