Payroll Compliance Specialist (Projects)

They are delivering several high‑impact projects focused on remediation accuracy, improved processes and modernised systems. About the Role
You will support complex payroll compliance and remediation work, applying strong technical knowledge and data accuracy. This role blends hands‑on calculation work with project delivery.

Key duties:
  • Review historical LSL and Superannuation Guarantee calculations.
  • Build and validate calculation models and remediation methodologies.
  • Support configuration and testing of a new time & attendance solution.
  • Analyse discrepancies, conduct reconciliations and identify root causes.
  • Contribute to payroll governance, controls, policies and process improvements.
  • Partner with HR, Finance and Legal on compliance‑related decisions.
  About You   
  • Strong Australian payroll experience, ideally in remediation or compliance‑focused projects.
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation, Superannuation Guarantee, payroll tax and multi‑state leave entitlements.
  • Experience with NSW LSL and interpreting awards/EBAs.
  • Experience with payroll systems (iCHRIS advantageous).
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical/model‑building skills.
  • Payroll qualifications (APA/CPP) highly regarded.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract that might extend or potentially even go permanent.  This organisation offers a lot of flexibility and you will only be required to o into the office in North Sydney 1 day a week.
