About the Role
You will support complex payroll compliance and remediation work, applying strong technical knowledge and data accuracy. This role blends hands‑on calculation work with project delivery.
Key duties:
- Review historical LSL and Superannuation Guarantee calculations.
- Build and validate calculation models and remediation methodologies.
- Support configuration and testing of a new time & attendance solution.
- Analyse discrepancies, conduct reconciliations and identify root causes.
- Contribute to payroll governance, controls, policies and process improvements.
- Partner with HR, Finance and Legal on compliance‑related decisions.
- Strong Australian payroll experience, ideally in remediation or compliance‑focused projects.
- Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation, Superannuation Guarantee, payroll tax and multi‑state leave entitlements.
- Experience with NSW LSL and interpreting awards/EBAs.
- Experience with payroll systems (iCHRIS advantageous).
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical/model‑building skills.
- Payroll qualifications (APA/CPP) highly regarded.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract that might extend or potentially even go permanent. This organisation offers a lot of flexibility and you will only be required to o into the office in North Sydney 1 day a week.
