Payroll Officer

  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days in the office, 2 from home) | Western Sydney

Our client is a forward-thinking education provider in Western Sydney, who is needing someone to step into support the payroll function for 4 months. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

The role
As part of the payroll team, you will:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a large and diverse workforce.
  • Ensure pay runs, reconciliations, and adjustments are accurate and compliant.
  • Provide advice and support on payroll queries, delivering excellent customer service to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support payroll projects during a period of change.
About you
You will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Strong systems knowledge (experience with Ascender or other large, complex HRIS/payroll systems is highly regarded).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
