We’re partnering with a growing organisation in the sustainable energy sector, with a national presence to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning payroll end to end while also supporting broader HR administration in a small, collaborative environment.

Based onsite in Sydney CBD, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with the People & Culture function and play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy and employee confidence.

About the role
Reporting into the People & Culture team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing and validating payroll data within Deel, ensuring accuracy prior to processing by the third-party payroll provider
  • Managing payroll inputs, changes, and reconciliations
  • Supporting HR administration tasks including employment contracts, letters, variations, and documentation
  • Onboarding new starters into systems and ensuring accurate employee records
  • Responding to payroll and HR-related queries from employees
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of payroll and admin processes
About you
You’ll bring:
  • Proven experience in a payroll role
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Confidence working with payroll systems (experience with Deel highly regarded)
  • Comfort working in an environment where priorities can evolve
  • A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach
