About the Role

Reporting to Head of Business Partnering, you will be part of highly supportive and collaborative team (consisting of Head of IR, Head of BP, P & C BP and a TA Partner), supporting a diverse mix of corporate and operational functions across multiple sites. The role provides both strategic and operational HR support, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with business leaders on ER and investigation matters to ensure positive outcomes and compliance.
  • Supporting corporate restructures and providing strategic HR guidance during periods of organisational change.
  • Engaging in strategic HR projects, with a focus on leadership upskilling and co-facilitating tailored programs alongside external providers.
  • Will be required to travel in Vic and also potentially to SA and TAS – approx. every 2 weeks/once a month to site or thereabouts
  • Supporting a business unit with a number of EAs so will need to have strong IR/ER – agreements, managing union relationships and disputes, experienced at conducting investigations
Based in Port Melbourne office – 3 to 4 days in office

About You

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in HR business partnering within a complex, large organisation. Strong ER and investigation skills, along with the ability to engage senior stakeholders to drive outcomes, will be essential for this role, as well as familiarity with managing both white-collar and blue-collar workforce challenges.

This opportunity is well-suited to someone looking to build their IR expertise and step into a more active role in EA negotiations.

This hands-on role requires strong gravitas and the ability to connect with employees working in physically demanding roles. Your proactive approach will be crucial for supporting restructuring activities and providing effective HR support across a diverse portfolio.
