About Them
We’re looking for an experienced and values‑driven People and Culture Manager to join a small supportive central team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an opportunity for a confident HR generalist with strong ER/IR capability and experience in the disability, health, or community services sector to make a meaningful impact.

About the Role
In this varied and hands-on 12 month fixed term contract you’ll partner with leaders across multiple sites to deliver high‑quality people support and help shape a positive, engaged workforce culture. You’ll work across the full employee lifecycle, providing advice, coaching, and operational HR expertise, while also contributing to broader people strategy, workforce projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide end‑to‑end generalist HR support across a diverse workforce
  • Lead and advise on complex ER/IR matters, including investigations, grievances, and performance
  • Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, ensuring compliance across all employment matters
  • Oversee contracts, onboarding, offboarding, workforce changes and HR documentation
  • Deliver engagement, capability, and culture‑building initiatives
  • Support leadership capability through coaching, advice, and training
  • Manage WHS processes, workers compensation and return‑to‑work coordination
  • Contribute to workforce planning, policy updates, and people‑focused projects
About You
You’re someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on work. You bring:
  • HR generalist experience working with Australian legislation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Extensive ER/IR experience and confidence navigating complex cases
  • Experience in disability, health or community services (essential)
  • Exposure to EBA negotiations or ongoing agreement management
  • A solutions‑focused mindset with strong judgement and professionalism
  • A warm, collaborative approach aligned with a values‑led organisation
This role can be hybrid or fully remote within Australia if you have the right skills and experience.
