A permanent opportunity for a hands-on People & Culture Partner with an operational focus to join a large successful national multi-site heavy manufacturing business - a key player in the construction world. Based in Townsville.
About the Role
You will partner closely with your client group leaders to enable effective hands-on P&C service delivery in alignment with the businesses's robust and well defined People Strategy. This hands-on role focuses on:
- Empowering leaders to fulfill their leadership responsibilities confidently through coaching and mentoring
- Providing expert and timely advice on all ER matters including investigations
- Driving P&C cultural initiatives to foster employee engagement and experience, high-performance, compliance
- Driving effective change initiatives down to front line operations
- IR responsibilities, with opportunity to support with EA negotiations
You will bring energy and a collaborative approach to what you do as a People & Culture Business Partner - a true team player who thrives in a multi-site, fast-paced and complex heavy industrial environment.
You will be an experienced HR generalist with a strong skillset and demonstrated experience in Employee Relations. You will possess experience working in a unionised environment, knowledgeable in Industrial Relations gained from working environments such as manufacturing, construction, shipping, mining, logistics etc.
This hands-on role requires the capability to coach leaders across the full employee lifecycle, as well as connecting effectively with employees working onsite - a true business partner who is able to travel onsite to multiple site locations and build lasting working relationships.
About You
This Townsville based role is ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner with 5-8 years HR generalist business partnering and operational HR experience within a multi-site, unionised industrial environment.
You will possess strong experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and possess a well-developed and practical understanding of the Australian industrial relations framework, stakeholders and employment legislation.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently with the proven ability in driving change and implementing key initiatives.
