We are partnering with a unique Queensland organisation of approximately 200 employees that has successfully navigated significant change over the last few years and continues to enhance its performance through innovation, continuous improvement, and investment in its people and capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a replacement HRIS and Payroll solution, taking ownership of the project lifecycle from initiation through to go-live and transition into business operations.

The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for the successful delivery of a strategic HR technology transformation, providing project governance, delivery oversight, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness leadership.
Working across People & Culture, Payroll, Finance, IT, and operational teams, you will ensure the implementation delivers a fit-for-purpose solution that enhances HR capability, improves processes, and supports future business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the HRIS and Payroll implementation project from initiation through to go-live and transition
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones
  • Manage relationships with implementation partners, software vendors, and third-party providers
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, business design activities, testing
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure the solution aligns with organisational requirements
  • Support change management, communication, training, and business readiness activities
  • Ensure payroll compliance, privacy, employment obligations, and operational requirements are considered throughout the implementation
  • Provide clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to project sponsors
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager or Implementation Manager with a proven track record delivering HR technology transformations. Exposure to Workday would be advantageous; however, strong implementation PM experience will be considered. You have a positive can-do approach and great manner to engage and bring people on the journey.
   
You will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience leading HRIS and/or Payroll implementations in a Project Manager, Implementation Manager, or similar capacity
  • Experience delivering HRIS, Payroll, ERP, or workforce management system implementations within an Australian business environment
  • Experience managing vendors, implementation partners, complex stakeholders, risks, and competing priorities
  • Strong project governance, planning, problem-solving, and communication capability
HR Generalist and business partnering experience is highly regarded and will be beneficial in partnering with People & Culture and business stakeholders throughout the transformation. This is an opportunity to lead a highly visible transformation project and make a meaningful impact
