About the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner works closely with senior leaders to support both day-to-day and long-term people strategies for a workforce of approximately 1000 employees across a multi-site environment.
With a focus on Employment Relations, this role is responsible for managing complex employee issues, as well as organisational change, workforce planning, leadership development, and managing risk, while helping drive improvements in performance, culture, and compliance.
With 1 direct report, this role is a senior-level role, operating with a high degree of autonomy, using independent judgement to manage complex and sensitive issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end management of complex ER matters including grievances, investigations, performance and misconduct
- Coaching and advising leaders on best-practice people management and risk-aware decision making
- Interpreting and applying legislation, policies and industrial instruments with confidence
- Supporting change initiatives and organisational priorities from a people perspective
- Translating business needs into practical HR solutions
- Contributing to continuous improvement of people practices and processes
You are a seasoned Senior HR Business Partner who is confident, calm and pragmatic in complex people situations and able to operate autonomously. It is important that you possess Aged Care and/or Community Services industry experience.
You will bring:
- Strong, demonstrated experience in ER case management within a complex organisation
- Sound working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and industrial instruments
- The ability to quickly build credibility and trust with leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Genuinely passionate HR Practitioner with a strength in ER
- Aged Care and/or Community Services industry background
