About them
Our client is an ambitious, privately owned business largely supporting the mining industry. They've grown quickly, continue to invest heavily in their future and have big plans for the next five years.
To get there, they need someone to build the people capability that will help them scale.
You'll work directly with the Founder as one of a very small group helping shape the future of the business. There are no layers of corporate bureaucracy; instead, you'll roll up your sleeves, solve problems, manager and oversea the resourcing needs and critical hires for the business.
This is a role for someone who has never lost there love for recruitment and continues to build their HR experience.

About the role
A big part of your role will be attracting exceptional talent. You'll partner with the broader business to identify capability gaps, personally recruit key hires and continue building a workforce that can support ambitious growth. You will own the recruitment demands manage third party providers with critical hires.
You will look at improving onboarding, implementing fit-for-purpose HR technology, training and development frameworks where needed, and ensuring the business has the right people, in the right roles, at the right time.
Some days you'll be thinking the bigger picture plan.  Other days you'll be interviewing candidates, helping a leader navigate a people issue or designing a better onboarding experience. This role will evolve with the business, with the first year being very different to the 2nd.

About You
You're an experienced HR and recruitment specialist who enjoys building rather than maintaining. You have developed recruitment & resourcing strategies, experienced in operational workforces supporting blue- and white-collar employees, finding practical solutions without relying on a large support team.
Ideally you have experience working in a greenfield environment, working closely with the business. This role would suit a experience Recruitment Manager who has taken the  step to develop their career into HR.  You have ideas and you bring them with energy!

  • Commercial acumen and confidence partnering directly with business leaders.
