An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a collaborative and high-performing People & Culture team on a 3-month temporary assignment.

This role will suit an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in Employee Relations case management, providing expert advice to leaders, and interpreting Enterprise Agreements, policies, and employment legislation.

Working closely with managers across a large and complex organisation, you will play a key role in managing a broad range of employee matters while building leadership capability and ensuring best-practice people outcomes.
About the Role As a trusted HR advisor, you will partner with leaders to manage complex and sensitive employee matters, providing practical, commercial, and compliant people solutions.

A key focus of this role will be managing Employee Relations cases from end to end, including:
  • Performance management
  • Workplace investigations
  • Grievances and complaints
  • Misconduct and disciplinary matters
  • Conflict resolution and mediation
  • Leave management and employee wellbeing matters
  • Ill and injured employee management
  • Organisational change and workforce realignment activities
You will also provide expert guidance on the interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, employment legislation, policies, and procedures to support consistent and compliant decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level HR and Employee Relations advice to managers and staff.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of ER cases, ensuring timely resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Interpret and advise on Enterprise Agreements, Awards, employment legislation, and internal policies.
  • Coach and support leaders in managing performance, conduct, attendance, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist managers with workforce planning, employee development, and talent management initiatives.
  • Support organisational change activities, restructures, and consultation processes.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate case management documentation and records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
About You To be successful, you will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in a HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Strong Employee Relations case management experience.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation.
  • Experience advising managers on performance management, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary matters.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching skills.
  • Strong written communication and documentation capabilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to customer service.
