About Them
Our client is a diversified manufacturing and consumer products organisation employing approximately 500+ people across multiple sites.

The business continues to expand through acquisition and organic growth, operating across several brands and business units. With plans to open new sites, consolidate others, and continue building capability across the group, this is an exciting time to join an organisation that is actively shaping its future.

The Chief People Officer recently joined the business following a successful career in large, complex consumer-facing organisations. As they continue to build a modern and commercially focused people function, we are seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner to help strengthen business partnering capability across the group.

About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced HR leader with a strong track record in complex, consumer-focused organisations.

You will be a true generalist, partnering closely with Site Managers and operational leaders while balancing day-to-day HR support with broader business improvement initiatives. Success in this role will come from being on the ground, building relationships, understanding operational challenges, and helping leaders navigate change.

A significant focus will be supporting several business transformation initiatives, including site closures and openings, organisational change, workforce planning, HR systems implementation, and performance improvement programs.

The role offers substantial variety and autonomy, with opportunities to contribute to group-wide projects while remaining closely connected to frontline operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with Site Managers and operational leaders across multiple locations
  • Managing employee relations and performance matters across manufacturing environments
  • Supporting organisational change, restructures, workforce transitions, and site movements
  • Assisting with EBA negotiations and industrial relations matters
  • Providing advice on Australian employment legislation, awards, and people policies
  • Supporting visa-related employment processes
  • Implementing and enhancing HR systems and people processes
  • Developing and embedding performance frameworks and leadership capability programs
  • Using workforce and people data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Supporting recruitment and workforce planning initiatives across the business
  • Contributing to broader group-wide HR projects and integration activities

  • Exposure to industrial relations, EBAs, modern awards, and workforce change initiatives
  • Experience partnering with frontline and operational leaders
  • Practical knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to spend time onsite building relationships
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
