About them
Our client is a well established commercial construction business specialising in fit out projects across Australia. With approximately 150 employees nationally, they have built a strong reputation within the market and continue to experience significant growth.
With the current HR Manager relocating overseas, they are seeking an experienced HR professional to join the business on an initial 6-12 month fixed term contract, with the potential to extend or become permanent.
Based in Sydney CBD, you'll be joining a young, energetic and highly collaborative leadership team that values initiative, flexibility and strong business partnering.

About the role
Reporting to the National Managing Director and partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll be responsible for supporting a workforce of approximately 70 employees across Sydney while working closely with the wider national business.
Key responsibilities include:
  • End to end recruitment and onboarding
  • Performance management and employee relations
  • Supporting the recently implemented Employment Hero performance framework
  • HR reporting, including remuneration reviews, bonus recommendations and flight risk analysis
  • Employee lifecycle management, including offboarding processes
  • Visa management and administration
  • Learning and development initiatives
  • Culture, engagement and employer branding activities
  • Wellbeing and recognition initiatives, including events such as RUOK? Day
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
  • Previous HR experience within the construction industry
  • Strong employee relations and business partnering capability
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle
  • Confidence working with senior leadership teams
  • A commercial mindset and ability to balance people and business outcomes
  • A flexible, adaptable and hands on approach
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the business
