About Them
Our client is a large, purpose-driven organisation supporting communities across New South Wales through an extensive network of employees, volunteers and members.
With approximately 1,500 employees and thousands of volunteers contributing across metropolitan, regional and rural locations, the organisation plays a significant role in supporting vulnerable communities while driving a culture that is collaborative, welcoming and deeply values its people.
Following significant investment in its People & Culture function, including new leadership, expanded capability and major systems transformation, they are continuing to build a high-performing P&C team to support the next stage of growth and maturity.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, this role supports a diverse portfolio across NSW. This is a true business partnering role with a strong employee relations component. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing coaching, guidance and practical solutions across a broad range of people matters including investigations, grievances, performance management, workplace conflict and organisational change.
Supporting a geographically dispersed client group, you'll quickly become a trusted advisor, balancing empathy and purpose with sound judgement and accountability.
You'll also contribute to ongoing people initiatives and transformation projects, helping leaders embed new processes, systems and ways of working following a significant investment in HR technology and operating model redesign.

About You
You are an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with leaders to navigate complex people challenges and deliver practical outcomes. You'll bring strong employee relations capability, and be comfortable managing matters independently while balancing risk, accountability and compassion. Equally important is your ability to build credibility with a broad range of stakeholders, influence decision-making and operate effectively in environments that are still evolving. Experience within community services, not-for-profit, education or other values-led organisations will be highly regarded. Above all, you are a pragmatic and relationship-focused HR professional who can support leaders with empathy while still driving outcomes and holding difficult conversations when required.
