  • Newcastle | Primarily office-based

About Them
Our client is a large and well-established industrial services organisation supporting some of Australia's most critical infrastructure, construction and resources sectors.
With a substantial workforce across multiple locations and ambitious growth plans, access to skilled talent is central to the business's success. Recruitment is recognised as a strategic priority, supported by engaged operational leaders, executive sponsorship and a willingness to invest in innovative attraction solutions.
The organisation continues to embrace technology and AI-enabled ways of working, creating an environment where new ideas are encouraged and improvements are quickly implemented.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of People & Safety, this leadership role will oversee Talent Acquisition across New South Wales, leading a team of recruiters and coordinators responsible for high-volume, business-critical hiring.
This is not a traditional TA leadership role focused solely on advertising and employer branding. Instead, you'll operate as a true business partner, working closely with leaders to solve workforce challenges, improve recruitment outcomes and build capability across the team.
While the business hires across a range of professional disciplines, the majority of recruitment activity centres on skilled trades and technical blue-collar talent in highly competitive markets where direct sourcing, talent pooling and innovative attraction strategies are essential.
Leading an established team, you will focus on driving recruitment performance, embedding consistent sourcing disciplines, leveraging data and analytics, improving processes and ensuring the business has clear visibility of the factors influencing hiring outcomes.
You'll also have the opportunity to build on existing AI initiatives and explore new ways technology can improve efficiency, candidate experience and hiring effectiveness.

About You
You're an experienced Talent Acquisition leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments. You know how to build sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, use data to improve hiring outcomes, and influence stakeholders at every level. Ideally, you've led recruitment teams through growth and change, bringing a commercial mindset and a passion for solving workforce challenges, not just filling vacancies. Experience in industrial, technical, logistics, healthcare, or aged care environments will be highly regarded.
